Kitchens & Bathrooms are the biggest single contributors when it comes to moisture production within a property. There are a few tips that can be put into practise that will reduce the amount of free flowing moisture from being created here.
- Always put cold water into the bath for 1 minute first before running the hot water
- Always keep the window open and the door shut when leaving the bathroom after a shower or bath
- Always keep boiling of food to a minimum tiime scale and try to leave the lid on and the door shut
The best and most efficient way to remove excess moisture from these areas specifically is to install an extractor. In fact i would strongly recommend that all kitchens & bathrooms have a fan.
